Getting the word out about good oral health and making dentistry fun for children is an essential part of Dr. Hsu's practice. Since opening, numerous children, like yours, have enjoyed field trips from local schools at Silver Star Dental, and Dr. Hsu has visited many school sites for offsite visits. Students experience fun, interactive presentations to help educate, reduce their anxieties and get them excited about visiting the dentist.

During a typical field trip, your child experiences a fun interactive talk about baby teeth and why they're so important, brushing and flossing, nutrition for healthy teeth and what to expect at a dental office visit. Look forward to two fun cartoon videos (created by the ADA) of Dudley the Dinosaur that correspond to and reinforce the subjects discussed by Dr. Hsu. A demonstration of counting teeth and the dental exam is performed on a volunteer from the classroom to get the whole classroom involved. Look forward to your child coming home to tell you all about a fun field trip experience and seeing how excited your child is to go visit the dentist.
